Based on the specific requirement of the client, Automatic Traffic Counting services are carried out to provide accurate count, speed, and vehicle classification data. The device is placed in the middle of the lane to record data and can be installed and removed quickly and easily. The built-in sensor utilizes Vehicle Magnetic Imaging (VMI) technology to detect vehicle count, speed, and classification. The ATCs provide key data necessary for effective traffic analysis.
ODC undertakes video surveys for different types of intersections, including major interchanges as per the project requirements. Video camera units are designed and can be programmed as per the project requirement to cater the need of the clients for the surveys to be carried out for longer duration. The video camera units are capable of recording videos up to 120 hours on a single charge.
Wide angle infrared colored camera lenses are used for recording traffic movements which can cover a range up to 140 degrees. Cameras are mounted in a suitable position to cover the required traffic movements.
ODC conduct surveys by using image processing methods for link counts as per client requirement. Our video systems comprise of cameras mounted on to telescopic masts or onto street furniture. The equipment is secured using heavy duty straps with padlocks & chains to offer lateral support and to minimize the risk of malicious damage & theft
Videos recorded from site surveys undergo multiple stages of QA/QC counting before submission of report to clients to ensure quality, accuracy, and requirements are being met with satisfaction. Recorded videos/images are submitted as well along with the data.
Parking Surveys are required to identify the parking supply, demand, occupancy, and turnaround time for multi-story car parking buildings, on street and off-street parking, paved and unpaved parking, etc. as per the clients’ requirements.
Pedestrians / cyclists / e-scooters crossing specific locations like intersections by direction and time. Data is collected for required duration for specified interval. Data files are submitted with the help of relevant drawings.
Journey time surveys using GPS instruments or floating car methods to record time at specific points along a corridor multiple times during peak hours to give an average journey time for designated routes.
Back of queue measurements are done at approaches to intersections or other locations. Queue lengths are measured at regular intervals during peak hours. Video surveys or manual counts are adopted as per the clients’ requirement to undertake the survey.
The supervisors to be deployed on site have experience of conducting interviews to conduct different types of interview surveys. The staff to be deployed on site are well-trained to work under rigorous conditions and a strategy is developed to ensure that required samples are obtained in a safe and efficient manner.
